The Tenth Muse will again be entertaining women audiences in a relaxed, congenial atmosphere in November. A color slide show is available from the World Conference of the United Nations Decade for Women, the NGO (Non-Governmental Organizations) Alternative Conference, and the International Festival of Women Arlists held in Copenhagen in July of 1980. Betsy Rose and Cathy Wieter, two feminist folk musicians who record on the Origami record label, will be performing at the Cat In the Cream Coffee House on the Oberlin College campus on Thursday, November 20, at 8:30 p.m. They will also be giving a workshop that afternoon entitled "Women and Music-Out of the torch songs and into our own". The workshop will be held in the YM lounge of Wilder Hall starting at 4:00 p.m. Both the concert and the workshop are free of charge.

Women Together has started a Battered Women's Support Group which It is hoped will grow into support groups for women who are still living in a battering situation as well as providing continuing support for those who have begun to rebuild their lives. The Volunteer Projects component of Women Together inc. is conducting an on-going volunteer recruitment campaign to better serve battered women. Women Together needs volunteers in the areas of childcare, crisis-line phone service, support group facilitation, direct service counseling, and public speaking. Requirements are that volunteers be sensitive to the needs of women, particularly battered women. Experience is helpful, but not mandatory. We offer training in each area of service. The Help Line's hours are 9 am to 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday Women who call for assistance are provided with information and referrals by a staff of trained women specialists who can assess the caller's needs and refer her to vocational/career resources, social service agencies, physi cians, therapists, attorneys and self-help groups The stall regularly researches and updates a resource bank to insure that current informa tion is available.

Perspectives on Women is a "course" especially designed to help you discuss and explore options for self-development and personal growth that are most easily available. Given by Cleveland State University's Women's Comprehensive Program, the course can be taken for credit but there is no charge for attending.
